You don't need to remember the entire formula. Remember: 0°C = 32°F, 100°C = 212°F, and the interval is 180°F per 100°C.
For a quick estimate of °C → °F: multiply by 2 and add 30. Works well in the range of 0–30°C.
−40°C = −40°F is the only point where both scales show the same number. A useful fact to remember.
Kelvin is written without a degree sign: 300 K, not 300°K. This is an absolute scale.
| Mode | °C | °F |
|---|---|---|
| Low | 120 | 250 |
| Average | 180 | 350 |
| High | 220 | 425 |
| Maximum | 250 | 480 |
These values will come in handy when reading recipes from different countries.
