Clear your desk of clutter, close unnecessary tabs, and put your phone on "Do Not Disturb" before starting the timer.
25 minutes is not a rigid rule. Some people prefer 50-minute intervals for deep work or 15-minute intervals for routine tasks.
If a thought comes up during a pomodoro, jot it down and return to your task. Deal with it during the break.
During a short break: stand up, stretch, drink water. Do not check social media — it does not let your brain rest.
Track the number of completed pomodoros. An average productive day is 8-12 pomodoros.
Batch small similar tasks (replying to emails, reviewing reports) into a single pomodoro.
A 15-30 minute break is mandatory after 4 pomodoros. Without it, work quality drops sharply by lunchtime.
